Begin by making contact with me via email through this web site. Please put “Art” in your subject line. 

PAINTINGS FROM THE GALLERY range in price. Some may be purchased as either originals or prints. 

 

Consignment of a HOUSE  PORTRAIT generally begins with a discussion of what you envision. What is your favorite part of the house? Maybe you love your garden or backyard and prefer a painting of this area. 

I paint from photos but can often make adjustments such as differing seasons or combining features of a couple of photos. Pets and people may be added. Basic house portraits begin at $250 or $3.00 per square inch. 

 

Consignment of a SCENE can be discussed in much the same way as a house portrait. Do you want to commemorate a special vacation or occasion? Landscapes or architectural paintings begin at $250 or $3.00per square inch.

 

Consignment of a PERSON’s PORTRAIT is another possibility. It’s tricky to take a photo that captures good lighting and “the person”. It may take more work on your part to take a helpful photo. Portraits begin at $500.

 

Usually I’ll send you a sketch to review. At this point I can make adjustments and I ask for 50% of the fee. Once you approve the sketch I’ll start painting. Sometimes I can make minor adjustments but watercolor painting doesn’t allow for much change.  Generally the finished product is an original watercolor painting on 150 lb or 300 lb watercolor paper.

I’m glad to assist with framing. There are additional fees for custom framing and shipping.
